Institute of Rheological Functions of Food (IRFF)

History and Mission

Founded on March 28, 1995, the Institute began its journey under the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, later transitioning to a privatized entity in 2008. Over the years, we have significantly expanded our research capabilities, particularly in 2020, to delve into cutting-edge areas such as proteomics, lipidomics, genomics, epigenetics, and advanced bioinformatics, including next-generation sequencing.

Our dedicated research efforts focus on understanding and addressing various rare diseases. Notably, we have successfully identified promising therapeutic interventions for improving cognition and boosting immunity. Recently, our mission has expanded further, exploring novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic solutions for complex conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Rett Syndrome, Leigh Syndrome, and other neurological and genetic disorders.

At the forefront of innovation, we remain committed to advancing science and improving lives through groundbreaking research and discovery.
